1. Comments or Written Statements from the Public:
Mr. John Flaherty asked what the agenda item would be for Regular Session.

2. Executive Session:
Upon a motion duly made by Mrs. Fletcher, seconded by Dr. Astley, the School Committee voted unanimously (5-0) to convene in Executive Session at 6:38 P.M. to discuss matters pertaining to Personnel and Collective Bargaining with the School Department’s unions and Negotiations, as set forth in Section 23B of G.L. The School Committee agreed that discussion regarding union contracts would be in Executive Session, as conducting these discussions in open session will have a detrimental effect on the School Committee’s negotiating position.

Dr. Astley left at 7:00 p.m.

3. Superintendent Search:
The School Committee discussed the makeup of the Superintendent Search Committee, as an administrative vacancy has occurred. The Committee discussed potential options and candidates. The Committee would like Dr. Burton to ask Mr. Pat Tutwiler or one of the other principals to participate on the Search Committee.

4. Review of Meeting Dates:
The School Committee reviewed the meeting schedule for December, January, and February.

5. Operations Review Committee:
Mrs. Fletcher informed the School Committee of the meeting tonight and recapped the discussion.

6. Adjournment:
Upon a motion duly made by Mrs. Fletcher, seconded by Ms. Butler, the Committee voted unanimously (5-0) to adjourn the Special Session at 7:30 P.M.
