MONDAYS

Stem is Fun for Kids
Fall 2018 Dates to be Announced
Grades K - 3

STEM classes introduce different concepts each week as children explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through hands-on, creative exploration. Families receive a descriptive newsletter after each class, detailing concepts covered, activities, and the name of the book read as part of each class.

stem     exploring          bridges

Beaver Engineering - Can you build a dam with rocks, sticks, moss, Legos, clay, and sand? That was the STEM challenge Loker children took on as they attempted to hold back the flow of water from breaching their dams. It took teamwork, much discussing and theorizing, but after three or four re-designs, the teams of "engineers" achieved success. For further information, send an email to: info@stembeginnings.com or call Barbara Jorda at 508-314-3275. www.stembeginnings.com     Ms. Jorda’s email address is: barbaraj@stembeginnings.com.
