Science
Science is a way of thinking that helps our students make sense of the natural and designed world. A Wayland science education includes studying life science, physical science, earth and space science, and technology/engineering. Scientific processes and skills are essential to both lab and field experiences; they are as important as content in each of the scientific domains. From a young age through high school, with increasing complexity our student scientists:
- Develop their ability to observe
- Interpret information and build data literacy skills
- Use evidence to support claims
- Understand and use the design process and
- Grow their enthusiasm and interest in science
