BASE Registration Information


BASE REGISTRATION, ENROLLMENT and WAIT LIST INFORMATION

BASE registration starts each April for the following school year.  Enrollment capacity is based on staffing availability at each site.  The need for BASE services typically exceeds its capacity, so annual wait lists are managed for each site.


Current, Returning BASE Families
Current, returning BASE families complete their on-line registrations through Family ID during an assigned time frame. 

The Family ID link will only be accessible during the specified time frame.  Current, returning families may also register kindergarten siblings during this time. Registration information is aggregated during the month of April.  

New Family Lottery
Families who did not participate in BASE in the previous year, families who were on the wait list, and new families interested in BASE, register for the New Family Lottery through Family ID in May during a designated time frame.

 The link is only accessible during the specified time frame.

Each family lottery registration is coded and entered into a double-blind randomization process for each site.  Each family gets one position in the lottery, regardless of how many children are being registered.  We do not separate siblings but multiple children may be harder to place.

Available spaces at each site are filled according to the randomized position in the lottery.  It is not first-come, first-serve so the date and time that the lottery registration is recorded during the lottery week is irrelevant.

This process gives each family an equal chance of getting a spot in BASE and is the fairest way to proceed when need outpaces capacity.

Families who are not enrolled from the lottery are placed on the wait list based on site, in their randomized position in the lottery.

BASE Enrollment Confirmations
All families are notified of their enrollment or wait list status by May 31 each year.

Lottery families who are offered enrollment in BASE are provided with instructions and timelines for completing the registration process in Family ID.

Lottery families who do not complete their BASE registrations within the designated time period forfeit their enrollment and their spot(s) are offered to the next person on the wait list.

BASE Wait list
Families requesting BASE services after the May lottery can complete the Wait list Request form in Family ID to be placed on the wait list.  These requests start below any lottery families, in the order in which they are received.

Families will be contacted in wait list order if spots become available throughout the program year.

Families are added to the BASE wait lists through December 31 of each year.  To get on the wait list, please go to:

Enrolled families who wish to extend their hours when space is not available to accommodate the extension, may enter their request in Family ID and be added to the wait list.

Wait list status applies to the current school year only and does not provide any preferential registration for the next school year.
