School bus registration is now open and will remain available through Friday, June 20, 2025.
How to Register
For Wayland Resident Students
- Parents/guardians of Wayland resident students have been sent an email from the Wayland Public Schools Transportation Office with a customized registration link. If you have not received this email, please contact Susan Bottan, Director of Finance, at [email protected].
- -Click the personalized link in the email and complete the registration survey.
- -If transportation is not needed, the survey will end after the first question.
- -If transportation is needed, you will answer a few additional questions and, if applicable, be directed to Unipay for payment.

For Boston Resident Students
Registration for Boston resident students is coordinated through the Wayland METCO Office. Please contact La Toya Rivers, METCO Director, at [email protected] for more information.
Eligibility for School Bus Transportation
All students who plan to ride the bus for the 2025-2026 school year must register.
- -Town-paid transportation is available for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 who live more than 2.0 miles from their assigned school.

- Fee-based transportation is available for:
- Students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 living less than 2.0 miles from school.
- All students in Grades 7-12, based on space availability.

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available for eligible families. Financial Assistance Guidelines and the Financial Aid Application can be found in the right-hand margin on the Student Transportation page.
Bus Routes & Stops
Bus routes and stops may change annually to improve student safety, reduce ride times, and mitigate traffic congestion. The Wayland Public Schools, Town of Wayland Public Safety Department, and First Student Safety Officers collaborate to develop safe and efficient bus routes.
Bus routes will be posted in August on the Student Transportation page.
Bus Passes
Bus passes will be mailed to students' home addresses in early October, once students have settled into their routes. Students must present their bus pass to the driver when boarding
