Minutes - Wayland School Committee
Regular Session   May 17, 2010  

A Regular Session of the Wayland School Committee was held on Monday, May 17, 2010, at 6:30 P.M. in the Wayland High School Library.

Present were:
Dr. Louis Jurist, Chair
Mr. Malcolm Astley (arrived at 6:58 p.m.)
Mrs. Deb Cohen, Esq.
Mrs. Barb Fletcher

Dr. Gary A. Burton
Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Brad J. Crozier
Assistant Superintendent

Ms. Joy E. Buhler
Business Administrator

Dr. Marlene M. Dodyk
Director of Student Services

Mr. John Senchyshyn
Assistant Town Administrator

Chair Louis Jurist convened the regular meeting at 6:34 P.M.

1. Comments or Written Statements from the Public:
There were no comments or written statements.

2. Discussion of Capital Budget Comments:
The Committee discussed comments made on the Technology Capital proposal. The members discussed a draft describing the impacts of possible cuts or the elimination of Technology Capital items.

3. Executive Session:
Upon a motion duly made by Mrs. Fletcher, seconded by Mrs. Cohen, the Committee voted unanimously (3-0) in a roll call vote

to convene in Executive Session at 6:50 P.M. for the purpose of matters pertaining to Personnel and Collective Bargaining, as set forth in Section 23B of G.L. Ch. 39.

The Chair announced that the Committee would reconvene in Open Session immediately following the adjournment of the Executive Session for adjournment purposes only.

4. Comments from the Public:
There were no public comments.

5. Adjournment:
Upon a motion by Mrs. Fletcher, seconded by Mrs. Cohen, the Committee voted unanimously (4-0) to adjourn the Regular Session at 7:21 P.M.
