- Step 1: Kindergarten Pre-Registration
Kindergarten Pre-Registration opens on February 2, 2026 for Wayland resident families that intend on enrolling their child(ren) in Wayland Kindergarten in the Fall.
- Pre-registration helps the district plan for staffing, class sizes, school assignments and transportation for our incoming Kindergarten students. It also provides families with an opportunity to share information that may help with their child's transition to Kindergarten.
Step 2: Kindergarten Registration
- In Spring 2026 (late April), elementary school assignments will be emailed to parents/caregivers who have pre-registered their child(ren) for Kindergarten 2026.
Please reference this document to review the items needed to complete enrollment: New Student Registration: Kindergarten
- Step 3: School Bus Transportation Registration
-
Wayland Public Schools is required to provide transportation for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade who live more than two (+2) miles from their assigned school.
-
- Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade who live less than two (-2) miles from their assigned school will be eligible for fee based transportation, based upon space availability.
Additional information, including financial assistance applications, bus fees, online payment and bus routes may be found on the Student Transportation website.
School Bus registration emails will be sent to all families in Spring 2026. Families may either register their child(ren) or opt out. Transportation registration will close in June and a waitlist will be made available for late registrations.
