Minutes - Wayland School Committee
Regular Session   May 13, 2010  

A Regular Session of the Wayland School Committee was held on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. in the Field House at Wayland High School.

Present were:
Dr. Louis Jurist, Chair
Mr. Malcolm Astley
Mrs. Barb Fletcher

Also:
Dr. Gary A. Burton
Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Brad J. Crozier
Assistant Superintendent

Dr. Marlene M. Dodyk
Director of Student Services

Chair Louis Jurist convened the regular meeting at 7:07 P.M.

1. Comments or Written Statements from the Public:
There were no comments or written statements.

2. Discussion of Budget Message:
The Committee reviewed and commented on a draft budget message. Dr. Jurist will read the budget message as amended.

3. Discussion of Comments on Article 6:
The Committee discussed possible comments by the Chair if a School Committee perspective is requested on Article 6. The Chair agreed to read a statement developed by consensus of the Committee.

4. Comments from the Public:
There were no public comments.

The School Committee requested a meeting, primarily for an executive session, be posted for 6:30 p.m. on May 17 prior to Town Meeting.

5. Adjournment:
Upon a motion by Mrs. Fletcher, seconded by Mr. Astley, the Committee voted unanimously (3-0) to adjourn the Regular Session at 7:30 P.M.
